Job Summary
Kforce is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist in Raleigh, NC to manage semi-monthly and weekly payroll for exempt/non-exempt employees. Responsibilities include liaising with payroll vendors on tax filings, supporting journal entries and tax statements, researching and resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory changes. The role requires 5+ years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties:
- Senior Payroll Specialist will handle payroll for exempt/non-exempt employees (semi-monthly + weekly)
- Liaise with payroll vendor on tax filings, involuntary orders, stock comp reporting
- Support payroll journal entries, accruals, and tax statements
- Research/escalation support, root cause, and resolution
- As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will stay current with payroll regulatory changes
- Recommend/implement process improvements
- Support internal/external audits
Requirements
- 5+ years of payroll experience
- Experience processing payroll for 5,000+ employees
- Previous experience with a multinational company
- Strong Excel - pivot tables + data manipulation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Able to work independently and within a team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
